A bookcase with simple and essential lines, designed by Vico Magistretti after a long analysis and interpretation of the constituent elements of the classic side and shelf bookcase. A design icon but also a real constructive invention, in which the bracing diagonals become load-bearing subjects and a supporting element for the shelves, allowing the sides to be eliminated. Its folding structure, which can also be used as a divider, gives a central role to the hinges and supports six shelves. The elegant and primary aesthetic, timeless and easy to read, makes it an undisputed icon since 1977, imitated several times as an example of a simplified function through the play of shapes.
