The classic among the classics. Adjustable table E 1027 is the height-adjustable coffee table designed by Irish architect and designer Eileen Gray. Proportion, lightness and transparency have made this table one of the design icons of the twentieth century. This great classic takes its name from the E-1027 mansion built by Gray and Jean Badovici (Romanian architect and writer) in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, near Monaco. The E-1027 fully reflects the new concept of living, based on the strategic organization of spaces and the modern concept of comfort. The “secret” code chosen as a reference for the table derives from: E like Eileen, the number 10 for Jean (J is the letter of the alphabet 10), 2 for B (adovici) and 7 for G (Ray)
